Remember to disconnect the machine from the power supply whilst conducting maintenance.

Maintenance and lubrication of the parts of the bending machine:

  • Lubricate all the bolts of the bending machine, as well as the holes of the turning table, then introduce the bolts into the holes and ensure their correct fitting.
  • If there are any observed damages to the bolts or the turning table, they must be repaired as soon as possible.

For “combined” revolving models, lubricate the connecting rod in its position

  • Remember to disconnect the machine from the power supply whilst conducting maintenance
  • Access the connecting rod via the rear door of the machine, the rod can be found situated beneath the gearbox, then using a pump apply pressurized lubricant into the available lubricators within the conducting rod.

Checking the gearbox oil level

  • Access the gearbox via the rear door of the machine, locate the oil-level display and check levels; the minimum level should never fall below the central level.
  • In order to replenish the oil levels, remove the filling cap and apply the necessary oil until it covers the display.
  • When it is necessary to do a complete oil change, drain the gearbox through its lower cap.
  • Take extra care with the used oils given their environmental impact; the used oils must be disposed of at official recycling centres.

Checking and maintaining the transmission

  • Access the transmission through the access doors, then check the belt tension by
  • simply pressing on it with fingers, the correct tension should not exceed a shaft arc of between 6-8mm.
  • Any transmission belts that appear worn or damaged must be replaced as quickly as possible.

Lubrication of jaws for “combined” models

  • Apply lubricant through a pressure pump by means of the lubricators found on the side of the cutting jaw.

Replacing blades for “combined” models

  • Connect the power to the machine at the base.
  • Connect the pedal at its base.
  • Press the pedal to bring out the blade casing, placing this in a comfortable position in order to remove the screws on the blade.
  • Disconnect once more the machine from its power supply.
  • Using an appropriate wrench, remove the screws and rotate the blade onto a new cutting edge, or if necessary, replace the existing blade with a new one if the existing blade appears to be completely worn out.

Finally, the machine should be covered with waterproof canvas in order to protect it from wear and tear.
