If you want to enjoy the beauty of the wood and the functionality of a ceramic floor, it is pretty enough that we choose the tiles well. There are formats and designs very similar to the wooden platform. Installing them is as simple as placing tiles.
The result will be that of a resistant floor, easy to clean and that hardly needs care with the look and warm feeling of a natural flooring.
After measuring and calculating the materials well, you must place strips around the perimeter that will serve as expansion joints. Then it is time to make the mortar, apply it on the floor and place all the tiles to be matched together placing also some cross braces that will mark the separation between them.
After that, the next step is to make the necessary cuts to adapt the pieces to all the nooks and crannies. Fill the joints with mortar, leave with dry and clean well all the surface ready to release. Before starting work it is very important that the soil is perfectly level.
So as you can see, cutting ceramic flooring with a masonry miter saw is easier than what it looks like. But this could not be an article about the exact cutting process without a full list of steps, right? So here you have.

Cutting ceramic floor with a masonry miter saw
Step 1: First of all, measure the entire surface well to calculate the necessary amount of material.
Step 2: Make the adhesive mortar mixing it with water in the proportions indicated by the manufacturer.
Step 3: Apply it on the floor with a notched trowel creating small grooves that will help to fix the tiles better.
Step 4: Place some 8 mm slats around the perimeter of the room that will serve as expansion joint.
Step 5: Begin to place the tiles to be matched together giving small blows with a hammer so that they settle well.
Step 6: Between piece and piece, place a crosshead that will guarantee us the same separation always.
Step 7: When you get to the jamb of the door, cut it with the saw to fit the tile without problems.
Step 8: Once the entire surface has been coated, let it dry and you only need to grout. Apply the mortar for joints with a rubber trowel.
Step 9: Once dry, clean the excess to achieve a good finish. Wet a sponge with a little water and rub the surface of the floor.
