Comparison of Three Compact Masonry Saw Models

Not everyone who cuts tile, brick, stone, granite, etc. has a dedicated shop with enough space for a big, full-size masonry saw. Sometimes, you have to work in close quarters, and need a compact masonry saw to be able to complete the task at hand. On other occasions, you need something more compact or portable because you need to take your masonry saw with you to a jobsite.

Whatever the reason, if you need a compact masonry saw, you may find this post helpful. In it, we will do provide a comparison of three different masonry saw models, each of which is suitable for different work conditions.

A compact masonry table saw for small shops

Our standard model of masonry saw is more compact than those of many competitors, measuring 121 x 80 x 119 cm. Just as important, it is extremely lightweight for this type of machinery, while still being very robust and durable thanks to its stainless steel construction.

This saw is great for small workshops or garages, even ones that are not well-ventilated, since very little dust is produced when wet cutting. Its integrated water pump takes up no additional space in your work area while effectively reducing dust and cooling the blade during cutting. However, because this masonry table saw has fixed legs, it is not ideal for traveling, although if you need to transport it once in a while, it is light enough that it shouldn’t be too much trouble.

Compact masonry saw with folding legs

For frequent traveling from job site to job site, a better option might be the higher model masonry saw, which has the option of folding legs and wheels. This makes it very convenient for packing into a truck or trailer and easy to move around once you arrive at your destination. And even though it is a higher model number than the previous compact masonry table saw, it is almost the same size when unfolded: 121 x 83 x 119 cm.

Like the first model, this masonry saw is designed for wet cutting (although it can be used for dry cutting as long as the correct blade and safety equipment are used). You don’t need to be near a water hookup to cut with this saw thanks to its integrated tank and water pump. In general, this is a good choice if you move around a lot and mostly do wet cutting.

Portable compact masonry saw for dry cutting

However, if you need to dry cut for some reason, there is another model of compact masonry saw specifically for dry cutting, designed with portability in mind. Not only is it small and lightweight enough to travel easily, it is also dustless. As a portable, dustless masonry saw, this machine is unique in today’s market. It uses a vacuum system to catch the dust produced when dry cutting, which allows you to dry cut in places where you normally could not due to poor ventilation.
